I’m enthralled by conspiracy theories. Enchanted. I love them. I love letting my mind go all the way down the rabbit hole and exploring every last possibility. I think it’s absolutely crucial to not put any limits on our minds. One of the mantras I live by says, “It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain an idea without accepting it.” – Aristotle
I try, every day, to entertain every idea that I encounter. That begins with being introduced to new ideas. And that starts with being informed.
Stay fierce.
My favorite thing about America right now is how connected we all are. It’s why I love social media. It’s why I love writing. For the first time in history, we all have the opportunity to be heard. We all get a voice.
As an African-American woman, I have lived most of my life in, what I like to call, a performance. A song and dance. Trying to appease whomever was in my company, but never truly speaking my mind and opinions.
I am now at the point in my life where I am no longer willing to perform for anyone. My passions are not for sale. I am my own person who has found her own voice, her own sense of self. And, coincidentally, I now have so many opportunities to have that voice heard.
That’s what being fierce is all about: an unwavering sense of self.

So, you’re an informed soul. You entertain all ideas that you encounter. You don’t necessarily accept them, but you entertain them. You chew on them and mull them over before you either swallow them or spit them out.
And you’re a fierce soul. You refuse to waver from all of the things that make you, you. You’re strong in who you are.
Now it’s all about staying ready.
Ready for anything that stands to challenge or enhance your fierceness.

You’re strong.
You’re on your way.
